As much as I love to try out the newest, latest, and greatest beauty products I find myself seeking comfort in the reliability of good old beauty favorites. What I mean is, some beauty items, whether it be your favorite mascara, perfect foundation, or go-to gloss will always do the job and therefore hold a special place in the beauty addict's heart. For me, no matter how many tubes of new mascara I buy (all chronicled on the Ebates blog) I always find myself returning to Yves Saint Laurent Faux Cils because I know its going to work and I know the tube is going to last, and it is the dependability that I find so comforting from time to time when my new formula mascara flings feel a little too risky. I also find comfort in Sephora. I know they will give me free samples, I know they will pay me 4.0% Cash Back, I know they will have my Faux Cils, and I know I will always leave with more in my shopping cart than I went in for. I tried to divert my attention away from the new products on the homepage (I even started out this blog with the intention of writing only about the mascara!) and quickly navigated to the YSL section when I saw out of the corner of my eye "Online only. Limited edition" Those words jump out at me as if they were posted in a bright neon sign. I clicked and discovered this Yves Saint Laurent Radiance Essentials Set (a $107.50 value, just $75). The kit includes Faux Cils Mascara, the must-have Touche Éclat radiance pen, and the new lust-worthy Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush to add a glow all over. It is easy to justify this set, and since I would already be buying the mascara, it is like getting a full-size Touche Éclat and Radiance Skincare brush for just $45. Plus, I will earn free shipping.
If you are new to YSL beauty, this is a great introductory kit, packed with best-sellers and award winners. Trust me, it will not disappoint. Plus, we are all looking for a little extra radiance in our skin and now you can get it for less at Sephora and get cash back from Ebates.
I have my beauty standby on the way (with a few extras), what are yours?

We all need our own work space when at home. Even those of us who spend very little time at home like yours truly usually spend a little time in front of a computer, whether we are blogging, paying bills, watching videos, or just chatting with friends. This past weekend, I spent some time doing a little photo editing work and I couldn't help but notice that my workspace (pictured at the left), as efficient and laid out as it is, still looks like a desk setup from the fifties that just happens to have

In 1789, Benjamin Franklin said "In this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes." While the actual verbiage is quite conflicting out there on the Interweb, the essence of what he said remains the same and rings true to this day. And this time of year, we all have it on the brain, the inevitability of tax time. Undoubtedly, taxes have become a bit more complex since the time of Benjamin Franklin. We have first time home buyer credits, Earned Income Tax Credit, write-offs, dependents, multiple jobs, 401ks, and everything else to complicate the tax paying process. Thankfully, to make it easier, we have plenty of software and tax expert services to help guide us through, e-file, and get our refund on its way. We make it even easier at
