It's A Wrap

I'm one of those girls who likes to consider myself a nature junkie much to the amusement of my stepfather who is a mountain man in every sense of the word. The joke perhaps comes from varying opinions as to what constitutes a nature junkie; to him it's working in the Forest Service and living off the land, to me it's overlooking the forest from the balcony of a quaint cottage, or if I'm dreaming big a log cabin. This isn't to say that I can't handle the great outdoors, on the contrary I love to camp, yet there are times when I'd rather emulate this sort of life through apparel. This season wrap sweaters are everywhere (including Bloomingdales) and to fully channel all sides of my personality I've chosen two separate pieces. One for the city slicker, and one for the nature junkie. Even if the later is up for debate.

Cynthia Vincent WrapThe Country Gal

A weekend getaway to the mountains is always well received after life in the city gets overwhelming. To stay warm on frosty mornings this Aurora Borealis Blanket Sweater (no snuggie reference please) by Cynthia Vincent does the trick plus it calls to the moccasin girl living in all of us. Away from the city I'll pair this with cozy wool socks, within city limits I'll do as the model does and pair with skinny denim and rugged boots.

Vince CardiganThe City Slicker

You can spot a true city slicker by their boisterous claims of the hardship that is city living, yet when asked if they'll leave the answer is always a resounding "no". I am one of these people and when living in a concrete jungle somber attire is always a fashion do. Not to be confused with boring, somber colors like black and grey are paramount to dressing with ease. This Vince Cashmere-Wool Cardigan is done in a simple palette yet it's stripe print and drape cut are fabulously chic, and appropriate for any city setting. I've become a follower of open cardigans, yet this does double duty and buttons into a jacket. Perfect for when city streets turn into wind tunnels. Perfect for my wallet is 3.0% Cash Back.

Now that I have two distinct wraps for my opposing tastes it's time to seek the proper footwear!
