Today's guest blog comes from one of my favorite male bloggers, Zack. Zack heads CouponDad.net, and is the authority on why coupon's aren't just for the ladies.

Come on we're MEN. We don't use coupons. We drink beer out of the bottle, and not those little fruity drinks with the umbrellas. We watch action packed, blood and gut movies... not those mushy "chick flicks". We are men. We don't use coupons. We like paying FULL price. Oh wait, do we?

Makes you think doesn't it? I will be the first to tell you that when it comes to money and paying for purchases, I too have an ego. Using coupons is an ego blow and a pride squasher because our ego and pride wants us to prove our selves successful. We can take care of our family with out the help of a measly piece of paper. Besides, what's $.50 right? We are MEN (insert grunts and growls here)!!

What if I told you that I save over $12,000 per year just on groceries using coupons? I'm not talking "extreme couponing" either. Just using a coupon for the groceries I buy. That's not to mention the cash back I earn through sites like Ebates.com. Aside from using coupons for food, I also save on things like clothing, entertainment, oil changes, travel, and electronics. Doesn't sound so measly now does it?
BMW
So in 5 years with my coupon savings (the average length of an auto loan), I could pay for a BMW 528i with a 3.0L DOHC 24-valve I6 engine. How's that for manly? So in my opinion, using coupons shows not only intelligence, but that you are fiscally responsible too!

Use these money saving websites:Coupon Dad and Ebates.

Today's guest blogger is our favorite retailer of Men's fashion, Jos.A.Bank. Read on to learn how you can look your best this Spring while getting cash back from us!

blazerIt's time to begin building your spring wardrobe. Sound complicated? It's not. Simply garner essential pieces like the ones mentioned, and then add fashion items to mix and match your look.

To start with, it's best to work with clothes you may already have in your closet. For example: wear a clean pressed pair of khaki pants with a navy blazer, fashion print dress shirt and a sharp tie. This look is great for work, casual weddings, or a night on the town.

blazer2Navy blazers can easily be dressed up or down. For a casual look wear with a polo, madras pants, and loafers. Check out our Traveler Tailored Fit blazers, they offer a slimmer cut for a modern fit. Natural stretch wool with nanotechnology makes this fabric wrinkle and stain resistant. Traveler blazers are a smart choice for those who want their wardrobe to provide years of classic style.

Layering your clothes helps with unpredictable changes in temperature. Start out with a sport shirt, add a pima cotton v-neck sweater, and top off with a complementary sportcoat. If the weather warms up then take off a layer or two.

sportcoatOne of the best parts of Spring fashion is the ability to play with colors other than Winter's dark hues. Jos.A.Banks' selection of shirts and sweaters in Spring's pastel palette is a perfect match for wardrobe staples like our signature herringbone sportcoat. This coat features a soft and luxurious blend of finely woven silk and camel hair, and may be worn year round making it a great wardrobe addition.

Complete your unique style and build your wardrobe with advice from the expert in Men's apparel, Jos. A. Bank!

Man Week
Since it's Man Week at Ebates, it's natural for me to think of the guy in my life. Being that I shop for myself quite a bit, it only seems appropriate to spend this week earning double cash back while getting a few must have items for him. Here are just a few of the items he, and I, can't live without.

1. I love a relaxed button down shirt on a man. They look great with a range of options, and they are the perfect hybrid of rugged/pulled together. J.Crew sells a great selection of shirts for men, including more utility pieces like this Chambray Shirt.

2. Thanks goodness for slim fit! Not all men are husky, nor do they want to dress in tent like clothes. Gap makes a true slim cut pant known as The Tailored Pant. It's much more flattering than wearing loose, oversized clothes.

3. When it comes to tools, there's no shortage of options. Most are unnecessary for those other than Bob Villa, however a Tool Box is a must have for any home. Nothing crazy, just a sampling of screwdrivers, hammer, nuts, bolts, and other things that make D.I.Y's easier.

4. Six months ago I introduced my guy to J.Crew and he's been a follower ever since. These MacAlister Boots have been his go-to shoe, and why not? They match just about everything from dress pants to jeans.

5. Recently I've purchased a few sweaters for Summer. Sweaters for Summer? Yes, in San Francisco they're needed. This Shawl Collar Sweater from Eddie Bauer has a bit of prep to it, and will keep him warm on foggy days.

6. It's no secret to women that sports memorabilia (posters, framed jerseys, bobble heads) is ugly. Sorry guys, but it is. With that being said, I've found the perfect way to involve your guy's love for his team without destroying decor. Small objects like this Bottle Opener do the trick. Does he insist you hang his vintage MVP poster? Make it more pleasing to the eye with a new frame.

7. Quite possibly the most essentially wardrobe item (besides boxers). This Three Pack of t-shirts will give my guy fresh options when laundry day is far away. Be sure to keep extra on hand, as these can go missing. Presumably to the same place as socks.

8. There are a few pairs of shoes every man should own, one of which is a hiking shoe. This Merrell Hiking Boot is great for hiking, as well as other outdoor activities. I have the women's version and they keep my ankles steady and my feet dry. Of course you'll also want to invest in a good pair of hiking socks too.

Man Week 2011
Grr...It's Man Week! No, just kidding, we certainly don't think that just because this week is dedicated to men that we need to bring in mac trucks, muscles, and other masculine stereotypes. What we do need to bring is double cash back, and have we ever. To cater to our male shoppers (we know you're out there), we've increased cash back at stores like Sears, eBay, Home Depot, Jos.A.Bank, and more.

Whether you're shopping for new appliances, clothes, or have a home renovation project in mind, we're making it easy to earn cash back on all the things you love. Ok, maybe that home repair job isn't on your "things I love" list, but at least we'll pay you to do it!

springBy now you've shopped for Spring, or at the very least, you've thought about shopping for Spring. Maybe you purchased one of this season's adorable crossbody bags, or maybe you made a wish list at your favorite retailer. Either way, Spring and all it's fashion glory, is on everyone's mind. On this same note I advise you to not miss the awesomeness that is Spring Fashion Week. Granted, my shopping habits are a bit erratic and indecisive, yet even I was able to put more money in my wallet while shopping the latest trends. If you're a bit more stable than I am when it comes to shopping, you'll really enjoy our set of stores and their doubled cash back.

One of my favorite shopping destinations is J.Crew which just so happens to be at 6.0% Cash Back this week. I love shopping there for essentials like chambray shirts, or classic wedges. Saks Fifth Avenue is a favorite haunt of mine when I need something a bit more on the designer side, and I can be found coveting anything Helmut Lang on a regular basis. Eddie Bauer and Lands End offer on trend clothes for women who want less flash and more comfort. I love these brands because they mix well with other more trendy items, like maxi dresses in bold prints, or gladiator sandals. Whatever your taste, it would be almost criminal to miss Spring Fashion Week at Ebates. By the time May's Big Fat Check rolls around, you'll already have a fashionable wardrobe, and a chunk of cash in your wallet.

We received hundreds of entries to our Travel Contest, and to say it was tricky finding a winner is an understatement! There were tales of airline mishaps, lost luggage, honeymoon bloopers, surprise engagements, and so much more. Some of your favorite travel destinations include Cancun, Hawaii, and Disney. Despite so many varying stories, one major theme prevailed: you go on vacation to celebrate life's accomplishments. Whether it's a birthday, relationship, or family reunion, taking time to enjoy life is important to you. On this same note we say congratulations to our winner, Jenny. Below is her travel adventure filled with laughter, a few tears, and most importantly, celebration. Congrats to Jenny and a big thank you to everyone who entered!

My craziest vacation was in 2008 when me and 3 of my buddies went to Jacksonville, Fla for a young survivors of breast cancers conference. You see we were all recently diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and were all under 40 years old. So, we all packed up and headed to the conference together not knowing what we were in for, having never traveled together, for that matter never even spent more than one or two hours together at support groups.

I can tell you honestly that I never laughed so much or cried so much in my life. Half the time I would laugh so hard I would pee myself...TMI..sorry!  We ate well, we drank, we learned, we met other women that were just like us, and we finally felt normal. I rode a mechanical bull, and two of us got tattoos (we are not the tattoo type). I saw other womens' mastectomy scars and it made me feel like I could finally get through what I was dealing with.

All in all, the weather sucked, the hotel was ok, but the camaraderie with my girls made that one of my best vacations.

This Thursday is St.Patrick's Day, and I suspect many of you will be celebrating. Despite not being Irish, I believe it's not why you celebrate (assumed patriotism) but how you celebrate (doing more than getting drunk) that really matters. Growing up in Boston, I am well accustomed to Irish traditions, and with keeping that in mind, I bring you today's How To. I've gathered everything you need to hold a fabulous party, and a well deserved math thu-fhèin*.

inviteInvitations
The proper St.Patrick's Day Party deserves a better invite method than Facebook. VistaPrint has invitations for every holiday and you'll get 5.0% Cash Back from Ebates. The invitation to the left is a perfect example of what to order. It's elegant, on theme, and is classier than inviting people to drink copious amount of Guinness.

irishberriesFood
Speaking of Guinness, it's not to say I don't enjoy it, it's just that I'd rather enjoy it in other uses, like Guinness bread, or Guiness Stew. Traditional fare like these can turn a simple gathering into an intimate affair. Of course no party is complete without sweets, so break from tradition with a few can't miss goodies like these Chocolate Dipped Berries from Cherry Moon Farms.

stpatsdecorationsDecorations
Decorations make the party, and Celebrate Express sells all the decorations you could possibly want. Without going overboard I think balloons, themed dinnerware, misc. chotchkes, and perhaps a banner would be sufficient. Then of course, there's the floral arrangements to think about...

leprechaunEntertainment
Good holiday movies are typically centered around Christmas or Valentine's Day (I love Sleepless in Seattle), but St.Patrick's Day has it's moment thanks to one horribly terrific movie called The Leprechaun. This is so awesomely bad it should be featured in TheBestBadMovies.com, and will provide 90 minutes of laughter, and if you're clever, several drinking games. You can purchase this from fye.com and get 2.5% Cash Back.

*math thu-fhèin is a Gaelic expression that means Well done, good for you!

3for3
Between you and me, I think it's safe to shop for Spring.

This Spring I've ditched shopping sale sections (too tempting) and instead I've begun shopping for items that I know will be heavily worn. With that being said I've picked three Spring trends that I know I'll be reaching for again and again. These are: The Silk Shirt, Wooden Wedge, and Maxi Dress. To appease all budgets, I've also chosen examples of these in three price points. Enjoy and here's to looking your best!

The Silk Shirt

ATM - Blythe Shirt from J.Crew $98

Gold - Equipment Silk Shirt from Shopbop $188

Platinum - Akris Silk Blouse from Saks Fifth Avenue $595

The Wooden Wedge

ATM - Studded Wedge from Urban Outfitters $69

Gold - Juicy Couture Sandal from Endless $195

Platinum - Vivian Sandal from Shopbop $215

The Maxi Dress

ATM - Technique Dress from Modcloth $58

Gold - Rominette Maxi Dress from Nordstrom $358

Platinum - Tibi Maxi Dress from Bloomingdales $583

I'm sure most of you have watched the infomercial for Insanity, the workout that is, insane. Personally I'm too lucid to do anything that challenging, but thinking of what it takes to make that kind of commitment got me thinking of regimens and challenges in general. For the past few months, my life has lacked any sort of regimen. I exercise sporadically, leave my house at a different time each morning, and my desire to cook is fleeting at best, and usually falls on days when my refrigerator is empty. This is also true for the other aspects in my life, like skincare.

josiemaranSPFWith sunnier days ahead, I think it's a good idea to jump start my SPF routine. A regimen I'm not as strict about in the Winter. Not that this is a good thing. It used to be that SPF 15 was all you needed, but now it's recommended that an SPF of 30 or higher be used. This SPF 40 Moisturizer from Josie Maran is just the thing I need, and will hopefully, hopefully, jump start other healthy habits. Infused with argan oil, this lotion protects skin from damaging rays and helps prevent oil production, so you get the perfect coverage without clogged pores. At $32 this item is a bit steeper than most beauty products, but Sephora has an amazing return policy, and if I'm not completely satisfied I can search for something else. With Spring palettes coming out, the pickings ain't slim.

weddingblogIt wasn't too long ago The Knot Wedding Shop wrote a guest blog for the Ebates blog. Fast forward 2 months, and wedding season has kicked into full gear. So much so that I can't help but be swept into a world filled with tulle, ribbon, and invitations that have a hand made appeal. Having spent the better part of yesterday consumed with all things wedding, I'm well equipped to bring you the latest wedding news, inspirations, and ways to make money. Make money off your wedding? Through Ebates you can!

Where To Shop
Perhaps the best thing to happen to weddings, boutique style wedding shops are popping up in your favorite online retailers. Forget department store settings, giant wedding retailers, and clamoring over the last dress. Instead check out wedding collections at J.Crew and coming soon, Shopbop. Both offer cash back and carry dresses for the bride and her maids. J.Crew carries suits for men, and clothing for the younger and more adorable members of the bridal party.

Where To Look For Inspiration
Wedding blogs are rampant these days, with most offering juicy inspiration and plenty of gawk factor. I love looking at other bride's achievements because it gets my own creative process flowing. For this I turn to RuffledBlog and The Pretty Blog.

Where To Register
Registering for a wedding has old roots, and was commonplace when newlyweds were younger and starting out in life. Today most couples have accumulated their own housewares prior to marriage, so registries have become about what the couple aspires to get. Stores like Crate and Barrel and Bloomingdales offer items for the home that are a step above. You can also add a gift card to the registry and save it for future purchases (like a crib). Side Note: If registering at Crate and Barrel be sure to enter their $100,000 Wedding Giveaway. It's any bride's dream.

Where To Find Everything Else
Each wedding is unique, as is each wedding party. Some weddings are informal and others are not, yet they all involve those closest to the couple. The Knot Wedding Shop offers everything from favors to gifts for the bridal party, and you'll get 6.5% Cash Back.

Where To Find The Venue
While I did my (throat clearing) research I kept stumbling across Here Comes The Guide. Beyond the clever name, this site allows you to search venue by state, region, and even theme. Want a barnyard wedding? How about a forest adventure in your nearest state park? You'll find it all here.

Where To Order Invitations
The latest trend in paper goods involves handmade techniques like stamping, calligraphy, and delicate details like hand sewn edges. Fairly new to Ebates, Minted.com carries wedding invitations, baby announcements, and just about everything you could probably need. With thousands of idea, every bride can find what suites her best.

Now that it's St.Patrick's Day at Ebates, we thought everyone could use the luck of the Irish, or at the very least a fun craft inspired by St. Patrick's Day. That's why we asked today's guest blogger Angie from The Country Chic Cottage to share one of her favorite crafts. Enjoy!

countrychiccottageHello everyone, I'm Angie. My love for sprucing up my home on a budget gave birth to The Country Chic Cottage, a blog dedicated to thrifty decor and crafting ideas. Today I'm excited to blog for Ebates and share one of my newest crafts dedicated to St.Patrick's Day. First let me preface by saying I am not a huge Saint Patrick's Day person, and kelly green (the green of St.Patrick's Day) isn't really my color. Despite this, I challenged myself to come up with an idea that was Irish themed, but saved me from excessive green.

stpattysdayThis craft is super easy, even your kids can help! Here's what you need

Freezer Paper (find it near aluminum foil in your grocery store)

Exacto Knife

Scissors or Craft Cutter

Iron

Fabric Paint

Simply cut out your pattern using an exacto knife, scissors, or a craft cutter. Next you'll need to iron your stencil, including those little center pieces that fall out when you cut them. After that paint over your stencils, peel the freezer paper off, and let dry. My daughter is very into peace signs and this seemed like the perfect St.Patty's Day t-shirt for her. All it took was a few supplies, and a bit of imagination.

I hope you will stop by The Country Chic Cottage for a visit and even more great tutorials!  Thanks so much for having me here on ebates!

~Angie~

The retail world is a buzz with Spring; fashion houses have been stocked with Spring essentials for weeks, home decor sites are proudly displaying the latest fabrics in lighter shades, and the beauty world is going overboard with the word fresh.

Yes, Spring is on it's way.

I know this, yet I can't bring myself to believe it, let along shop for it. The reasons behind this I do not know, but what I do know is my wardrobe is need of a serious overhaul. Having not been consumed with fashion (I know, shocker), I've had time to think about what I own, need, and should never buy again. If like me you need to freshen up for Spring, these items will perk up your wardrobe, keep you in style, and add a bit of cha-ching to your Ebates account.

Frye HeelsShoes
1970's platforms are everywhere right now. I haven't decided if this is a good or terribly bad thing, but I have set on these T-Strap Platform Heels from Urban Outfitters. A t-strap heel is classic (think 1940's) and will go with everything from rolled jeans, flower sundress, and even work pants, cropped of course.

Blythe BlouseClothes
Have you noticed that fashion can't make up it's mind? Should we wear 80's zebra prints, or 70's paisley prints? Skinny jeans or bell bottoms? Mini's or maxi dresses? It's a hodgepodge for sure, so I'm going for basics that I'll be able to mix and match with anything. Take this Silk Blythe Blouse from J.Crew. This menswear inspired blouse first made it's debut from the line Equipment last Spring, but continues to make a strong presence with other fashion lines knocking it off. What I love about this piece is how feminine and versatile it is. Go ahead, try to find something that doesn't look great with it. Exactly.

Michael Kors WatchAccessories
Again, what is going on? Should I accessorize myself to the point of looking like an extra from Mad Max or Dances with Wolves? Neither is appropriate for day to day, so I'm sticking to simplicity and buying myself this Michael Kors Watch from Shopbop. For those who think boooring, let's reconvene in 3 months, when you're wondering how it's possible to own so much and wear so little. I'll still have my watch, and still have something to wear.

By now you know all about Travel Week at Ebates. You know about the increased (even double) cash back, the coupons to sweeten the pot, and the travel buzz happening over at the Frugal Living Community.

It can't get much better than this. Or can it?

We think it can, so we teamed up with Club Med to bring you our biggest contest yet. In the spirit of travel, we want to know what is your best vacation story? Tell us and you could win a 7 Day All Inclusive Vacation For Two. Got a story that's too good not to tell? Then enter our Travel Contest and who knows what could happen. You may just win a vacation from Ebates.

Now how's that for a story?
